I have 30 years of experience as an athlete. At the top of my athletic game I was swimming at a Division 1 school.
I have 18 years experience as a swimming coach and 9 years experience as a triathlon/running coach. I have worked with some of the top athletes in the US, and learned from some of the top coaches in their field.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing though. During my college swimming days I developed an eating disorder which took me 8 long years to overcome. This ultimately led me to more study as I wanted to help my 1:1 endurance athletes at a deeper level so they could perform at their best and avoid the unhealthy path that I went down.
I took all of my knowledge gained from years of academic study, years of competing myself and years of training multi-sport athletes 1:1 and I realized that race day preparation is much more complex than most people in the fitness industry know let alone understand or teach.
